In the summer of 1990, a high school kid was tearing up some dusty Kansas back roads. Before long the 1980 Trans Am he had spent years saving up for was sliding out of control and off a bridge. This accident would become Myron Keller’s (owner) official acceptance into the School of Hard Knocks Collision Repair Division.
Three years later in 1993, Keller graduated from Salina Area Technical College, earning his associate
degree in Auto Collision & Refinishing Technology. The Trans Am accident allowed him to realize that
collision repair was a trade he would pursue. Following graduation Keller worked at a few body shops in
Western Kansas, gaining industry knowledge and on-the-job experience.
While enjoying dinner at Gutierrez Cocina Mexicana in Hays, Keller was presented with the idea of opening his own body shop and fueling station in Palco. In was there in February 1997 when the concept for Quality Collision Repair and Petro Plus was born on a napkin.
For the next year Keller would invest every spare minute into developing his business plan. Construction started in March of 1998 when the property was purchased and the demolition of Norris Grain began.
On September 15, 1998 the doors were opened and the business was born with unbelievable determination, a team of three, and a pack of sticky notes.
Today our team of ten has evolved into a complete automotive center. Offering unbeatable customer service with the best technology the industry has to offer.
